I am doing research on the documentation included with power equipment: riding mowers, ztr's, walk-behind mowers, snow throwers, edgers, trimmers, etc. I need to gather the latest trends and I need to understand the user’s acceptance of these trends. It doesn't just have to be printed manuals either.

What have you guys seen out there that is new, cool, innovative? Who is doing a good job with their documentation and who isn't. Do you like it? Do you use it? Let me know! Thanks.

OK, I too vague of a question, I get it. :)

How about this: what would you think if some of your documentation was either on a CD or on the Internet? Perhaps the mower would come with a Getting Started Guide, a quick maintenance type guide, and a small manual only covering the most commonly performed tasks. The other information (less likely to perform tasks) would be on a CD or on the Internet.

Let me know your thoughts on something like this.

    Thanks!
