I quoted a spring cleanup the other day and I was way off. I guessed 4-5 hours of work so I told the customer around $200. It ended up being 8 hours of work and two truck loads of leaves. I am usually pretty good with my quotes but on this one I worked for $23.25/hour. One things for sure, the lesson was priceless. Oh well, I'd rather be a scrub for a day then a scrub for life.

Live and learn. This happens to everybody. But after awhile estimating gets easier b/c you've done many of the same jobs and get to know how long and how difficult the new one's you're looking at gonna be.
