fellow irrigator's:question for a problem

    and it dont have to do with sprinklers...

    I just walked on my boss, because he talked down to me..

    im furious.....

    questioning my OT and my hours...

    Beat him with some poly pipe!!

    Wait until the two of you are calmed down, and explain everything to him, with all your notes about what and when you worked on.

    I've never had any confrontation with my employee of 6 years now. He doesn't walk on me, but he gets more than most employees would get in his position here.

    he just personally came to my house not 5 mins ago and pleaded his case...

    im still pissed...he wants me back 9am im furious.

    i go to work to work...not this bs..
  4. If you can justify your OT and prove it with documented billed hours....you are right...

    If you cannot....he is probably justified....

    Step into his shoes for a moment.....then calm down...and call him

    thing is i make cake for the dude...he and i both know it..on top of that i just jumped into the begining part of sales by default..

    That would piss me off even more as an employer. You're being intentionally defiant. Go in there at 8:50 and spend the fist 10 minutes explaining everything. Looks like you're spending some of his time taking photos and worrying about LawnSite.

    Calmly ask him to redefine his expectations and duties of you, including expected hours. Have him write them down for you as well. Tell him your expectations as well and what you bring to the table that help his business excel. putting in lots of OT hurts his profit if he's paying you time and a half.
