I was wondering if any of the landscapers here do wood fence installation? If you do. How do you figure your man hours. I have seen where people have a number for installation based on the foot. Any info you would share would be great.
    Thanks, Bob

I do Fence installation in addition to Landscape Maintenance. There are several ways to charge. One of the first things you could try is call several large Fence companies in your area and they may tell you what they charge for installation. There are several variables to take into consideration. The biggest is digging conditions.
    Here are different ways.
By the hole $35 plus materials
By the linear ft. 3 rail $6
By the Hour $70-100 for a 2man crew.
Most large Fence companies charge by the linear ft.

The most common fence that we install is a 5 foot privacy with 1 foot lattice panel on top. It requires 20 boards per 8' section and 4 stringers and 1 piece of lattice. Production time is 7 linear ft per man hour after the posts are set. We sub the posts out for $16 each (dug and set).
