Brakes? How often do they need to be replaced, I have some lawns where I go downhill and they squeak the whole way down. I'm assuming they have drum brakes, I haven't even had this mower that long I bought it brand new and it's not even a year yet and I don't mow that many lawns. Anyways, should I just call my local dealer and pickup some brake pads?

Mine squeak as well. I think this is fairly common with BD units. I usually squirt a little wd40 or brake cleaner on them before I start. It does make the first few turns a bit tricky since it doesn't grab all that well, but it eventually gets better and the squeak is gone for the remainder of my lawn.
