Did some Goggleing and Ferris is out of their mind $32,000 for this Mower. The suspension system looks like it's designed & engineered for the X games. Sorry no matter how large my bank account grew, I would purchase two or three cheaper ZTRS or a WAM before one of these over priced machines. The more complicated you make a ZTR the more to fail. If I hit the lottery maybe I would purchase one

Just found the site you were looking at.

Lists the IS3100Z for $19,990. What a lough :laugh:. Mine cost me as much as any other ZTR. That site is bogus, check a few other sites.

I think it's more like $16-17,000. Still quite pricey.

Where in the world wide web did you see that? $32,000 would probably buy 2 of those. They are expensive, but not $32,000. Ferris hasn't lost its mind. The prices I've seen online are around $16,000. Maybe somebody bought 2 and said they paid $32,000.

Need to delete these Bogus web sites, it happened to be the first site that came up for me the other night, Still that Bogus $32,000 dollar price is out their for a potential buyer to read, I went to sleep on that find.

I don't get why they don't capitalize on the smoother ride and speed those mowers up. I mean come on, if you're going to pay a premium for them, at least you should get the most productive mower out there for that price tag.

wells its all in the opinion of the operator/owner. I like JD/Exmark and some Scag and Gravely. Yet after buying my first Ferris with suspension a 1500z, i will never EVER buy another machine without it.

Sure its still bumpy , but more rough with stuff like big ruts in peoples yards from equipment not the little potholes. The suspension takes a beating for you, i can cruise a long at 12mph on my 72" deck 3100z and just rock and roll. At the end of th eday i forget how nice it is until i get on my 61" deck non suspension Ferris, ROUGH! you bounce all over the fu@$% place like every other ztr. Some have minor suspension techniques like badboy and all, but nothing like this. Ferris isnt really much if not any more than other high end brands.

Not to change the subject, I own a IS2000 (3 seasons on it) and love the suspension. I just took a JD Z830A home (kinda got pushed on me to try it), we mowed one whole day route with it, though it rode a little rougher (not much), it did not scalp like my Ferris always does. After switching back and forth on my own lawn today (Ferris, JD, Ferris, JD) and mowing the exact same spots at the same claimed mowing height, I can see that the Ferris will dip on one corner or the other and scalp into the lawn, especially on the K-turns if I pull back on the handles hard and the front end dives. I knew it scalped a bit, but now that I've done some real world comparisons I know it b/c of the suspension. I've run the suspension up as tight as it will go, and checked that the shocks arent blown, and it still acts the same.
