Does anyone use double blades on a ferris is3000z, I demo the unit but wasn't able to try this and I'm planning on buying it for next season I wanted to get a Exmark but because of dealer situations I won't.

I had three ferris i/s which was out before the 3000 it is basically the same mower. We did use stacked blades on it and it helped the cut. HOwever it also took out several clutches! Also they were not as reliable as the DIXIE or Exmark!

Don't know if it's any help or not, but we run doubles on our Ferris WB's. The 52" has a 17hp Kawi and the 61" has a 23 hp Kawi. We haven't had any problems with replacing clutches or bogging down either.

I believe ferris offers a mulch kit for your machine, with a double blade set-up.

You can call this guy, he's a salesmanager for Ferris:
