I have a Ferris 52'' Hydro Walk DD

The hydro pumps whine/ moan - they seem to work ok - just make noise. They even wine at idle. Fluid is full and looks clean, belt seems to be tight enough.

    Any thoughts ??

the pumps are always going to wine while the machine is being used. I dont know however why they are doing that when it is idleing. might want to call your dealer.

Check the idler pulleys underneath. I have the same machine that goes through 1 or 2 of them a year for some strange reason. They go from a low whine to a loud scream before they go on ya. And when they do, they can take the belt with them.

Think they run about 20 bucks each, 30 mins or so to replace both.

Check you release valves. If it is not fully closed you will get whine from that.
