Fertlizer application

    Hey guys I am looking to get in to applying fertilizer this spring. How do I figure my pricing, And what would be a good way to learn about the different fertilizers out their

    Start with 4X your material costs and adjust based on your "actual" costs. ie: labor, equip., overhead and desired profit.
    Contact your local John Deere dealer.

    So what each bag cost me take the total amount times 4

    Yes, 4X the bag costs.
    I mark up all hard goods 15% of the base cost. That markup covers sales tax and "shrinkage" a term used to discribe spills, waste & miscalculations.

    Please understand these are simple methods. You really need to know your true costs.
    ie: labor rate, overhead and desired profit.

    An example would be that your cost in NY are higher than most areas and you have the inviromental wacko's to deal with in NY.
