Southern Gold is now owned by scotts. The actual seed itself came out of NC. The individual names are Tarheel II, Endeavor and Wolfpack. Very disease resistant and Dark Green. This same seed variety I get in a 50 lb. bag for 68 bucks. If I were to go to lowe's it would run me over 116 bucks. Around here its under the name Southern Belle.

Southern Gold is good - used it before SMG bought TurfSeed Inc. and it was under the Confederate label. Also used the Confederate Plus with 10% KBG, which I am really a fan of. I use Hybrid Power from Green Resource - they have several locations in NC - depends on what area you're in.
