How do you figure out how many blocks are needed for a circular tree ring? Is there a formula? One I have to do is 6' diameter. need to be about 4 blocks high. How would I figure out out many blocks I would need? Looking through formulas but nothing for circle tree rings. Thanks for the help!!!

First calculate the circumference of the tree ring:

C = 3.1416 (pi) * the diameter of the circle. That will give you the length of the ring in feet or inches, whatever you used. Then divide that number by the length of the block you are planning to use and that will give you the number of block for one course. Multiply that by the number of courses you intend and that will give you the total number of block required.
