A friend of mine was mulching with his Gravely. He got into some heavy maple leaves and got some hung up under the mower. They came in contact with the exhaust and caught on fire. He luckily got it put out.

This should be a reminer to all of us to be careful this clean-up season.

How ironic that a guy with your screenname is telling the story:angry: .
It is amazing how fast things can go to cra p for you when a little heat is added to dry organic material.

Most people just don't realize how easy and fast that can happen. Thats a good reason to carry a fire extinguisher.

Heck, I never even thought about it. I guess the "smoke" is on me. I should have named my thread "burns60 reports fire."

Actually the friend is not an lco, but I had demonstrated my Lazer for him and he went out and bought the Gravely

It was just a reminder to me that yes, things can get out of hand and sometimes can be dangerous.
