Been in business for about 25 years doing maintenance and installation and this is the first sod job we've done with more than a couple of pallets. This was 12 pallets of Centipede and gotta order a couple more.

    Did you install irrigation?

Total time was about 28 man hours from prep to finish. I wish I had taken a few more before pictures to show how bad it was. They had some trees taken down and it was pretty rough and uneven. The homeowner did'nt want to install irrigation which is crazy but she had Zoysia installed in her front yard last year and has kept it up nicely just pulling a hose. Sod was very healthy minus a few of the pieces on top which had gotten really dry - I'm assuming from the wind since it came from the lower part of South Carolina. Thanks for the compliments!

Looks good! Is that Centipede that the pallets are setting on? We have not had a lot of luck with Centipede because of winter kill in G-ville.

The rest of the area is Centipede plus weeds. The homeowner sprigged the area several years ago but with the lack of water over the years it's not very healthy. With the new sod looking nice I'm hoping she starts watering the rest so I can do a little spraying for the weed problem. Other than this little bit we have'nt had much luck with Centipede either!

Man it would have been icing on the cake if you could have installed some fresh mulch on those beds.

Same thing I said! Mulch just makes nice turf look better! I guess they gotta get past this bill before they do any more! Although, they do have a 6 car garage with their personal cars sitting in the driveway! The first bay is a custom '67 Corvette and the rest are Mopar!
