got a possible job trenching a water line, 80-90 feet, and installing frost safe spicket.

and along with that job, he asked me to grade off a 60x40 piece of ground that was going to be a foundation for a barn but now he changed mind.

anyways, the area that needs to be graded is probably 3 feet higher than low ground ill be grading into. dont know how long this may take with the backhoe

question is, how much do you guys charge for trenching with a backhoe?

completely new to trenching, need just a base line of equipment hourly rate + operator?

dont want to lose my butt

Appreciate any information some of you fine experienced guys can give...

    thanks :)

I would price it out separately and bid the grading based on amount of dirt moved
