    hi Guys,

i just started my company in the fall with my buddy, and well summer will be here 3-4 months so im trying to prepare myself early.this summer i'll be working solo
we already have a about 30 customers from are snow removal contracts,

Now i've been scanning thru this site in the few weeks and still haves some questions that i didnt find.

My equipement i plan on buying
    6x10 open trailer
    21" Mower
42 or 46 or 48 ride on mower
    stihl trimmer
    **maybe** a blower

now im still thinking on what ride mower to get...im a big Toro fan myself, but some say you pay for the price
John deer is also very pricey, craftsman and husqvarna seem good, cub cadet, aeriens heard there where bad.

right now im maybe thinking of getting a 21" Toro Super recycler mower

but a toro ride on are expensive, and zero turn are not in my league

    i dont mind going use either for ex: (a 2008 Toro LX465 46" 1,800$cad) which i find a good deal for a 46"

you guys have any other good company's that have good mowers out there that i could get in Canada mostly?

any other things i should consider?

    thks

What size properties are you targeting?

Depending on size of property I would say get a good used 36" to 48" walk behind mower, it will be much better then a residential model rider and will last a lot longer.

You should be able to pick up a used walk behind for around the same cash as a residential rider.

I would probably go with a 48" walk behind.
Oh you will definitely need a blower. I have both a hand held blower and a backpack blower, if I could only have one it would be the backpack for sure it is way more versatile.

No problem. I have really never seen lot sizes that small, 1500 to 2000 sqft, if they have a home on the property there can't be much turf. If they are that small you can knock them out real quick with a 21" no problem.

    That's what I thought stay with a 21" !!

Even at that size lawn, a 36" WB would be the most you would need !!

Don't by a garden tractor, search craigslist for a used walk behind 36" or 48"
