This is a Vision3 fixture, does anyone know of other manufacturers that make something similar?
FX has a few.
Thanks. I've also found one by Coppermoon (thanks Wade) and the Nightscaping Starlighter. Anybody have any others?
The FX versions are sturdier material than the NS Starliter.
I've used both brands.
The Starliter defies the old "see the light, not the source" motto. But some people like that.
There's also this one from Vista:
Comes with a LN-20 BAB MR-16. Also a lens to keep the bugs out.
Lamps should be easier to find than the DCB AR-11 in the FX VitaLume. The FX Luna Sonora uses an SCB 93 or 1141 (same as the NS Starliter).
Just put some cm610s on order Will be my first time using coppermoons hangdown fixture. I will let you know my thoughts once I install them
I introduce the Comet HG.
Thanks, I looked at Unique's site but missed that fixture.
OK, back to the top on this, does anybody know of someone that makes a fixture like this in brushed stainless or a brushed nickel finish?
Time to call in some favors. In the good ole days I would have directed you to Nightscaping as Bill would have built you as few or as many as you wanted in any format you could draw up. Not sure if they are prepared for custom requests now though. Would probably be worth giving Connie a call. Also call Vista as they might be willing to build their variation in stainless for you.
Or, you could look at an anodized aluminum finish. Both Vision3 and Hevi Lite have versions like what you are looking for.
We've already talked to Vision3. They actually list a brushed stainless version that would have been perfect but they no longer offer it that way and the lead time on the rest of them is 4 - 6 weeks. We have to have them installed by Oct 15th so that's not going to work. I have some local machine shop contacts that could fabricate them in stainless for me but I'm not sure that they can be done in the time available for a price the customer is willing to pay.
I'll give Hevi Lite a look and see if they can deliver in time. Thanks, James.
