Your help in recommending an appropriate fixture/bulb (Halogen or LED) for a flag pole that is 25 feet above ground with an American Flag that is 5 feet by 8 feet located at the very top (from 20 feet to 25 feet) will be very much appreciated.

Manufacturer does not matter as long as it is a quality fixture. Would prefer not to use a well light since it is in a wet area.

    Thanks!!!

Flags are fun! You really need to triangulate the light beams onto the top of the pole. Positioning the fixtures (use MR16 Bullet fixtures of your choice) a few feet (max) out from the base of the pole is fairly easy. Lamp beam spread and intensity choices can be made when you are aiming at night. I generally use a couple of narrow flood beams and a single spot beam and the results have always been good. A lot will depend on existing ambient light conditions on site.

I agree, you'll want to use 3 fixtures in a triangle pattern. 15 deg-24 degree beams should be good.... given that you are only at 25 feet up, 20degs would do nicely.

You said it's wet,,, get some well sealed ingrounds... with shield if not in lawn area, and install with pea stone base below. aim at night.

Premis behind three lights in a triange; no matter which way the wind is blowing, the flag gets evenly lit.
