flag pole lighting

    does anyone have any recommendations regarding the use of 12v can lights. i am thinking about installing a 25 or 30 foot pole and want to light it up at night semper fi '72

    Three 75 watt MR16 lamps using a triangulated design is very effective.

    75w bulbs being VERY effective is an understatement. We did 1 with 3-35w triangulated and it was fine.

    Depends on the ambient light as well as the total hieght of the flagpole too

    Triangulation should give you a good light no matter which way the wind is blowing..

    I'll second Billy's recommendation. It's what I use for a pole 20' and shorter. I would imagine bumping up to 50's would be fine for a 30' pole. Depends on the spread of the lens and any interference or competing sources of light.

    3 35 watt mr-16 12 degree beam. A 50 is never worth the extra 15 watts for the small gain from a 35 to 50. Any photometric chart will show the small difference.Bullets not well lights. If only viewed from the front then one fixture.

    If its a lawn i would go with wells... if something else bullets... If concrete have fun :)

    thanks 4 all the sugestions and now it begins
    ps does anyone have plans to build an ark if so do u need help
    40 days and 40 nights till the sewers back up
