We have a larger flagstone patio surrounding a Maple tree. We currently use diamond dust as filler however, every time we sweep the patio we sweep away the diamond dust. We are looking for a filler that will stay in place but will also allow water to seep through. Any suggestions?

Here we use stone dust. Once wet, it dries hard but lets the water drain through.

Try decomposed granite (crushed granite). We have a pathway made of the stuff and it srays put with just a little wash in really heavy downpours.
