I am just trying to get an idea of what to charge a customer for removing and re-planting flowers, plants, etc. Do you charge by the pallet, plant, flower, etc.

Thanks for your ideas and help

you first need to find out what your costs are then you can go from there. I have heard a lot of people use all of those methods before

We essentially followed the lead of TG in our area and charge $25 per tray(20 plants that cost $9). This assumes you don't need to add planting mix and it includes fertilize and bug inhibitors. In our case all of our work is for our commericial customers so it also includes spray for any fungus/insects as needed during the season. In other words we don't make much on flowers but you don't get hig end commericial accounts unless you can do a GOOD job with flowers.

  4. We get 25.00 per flat min. I usually dont charge at all to remove, if they are just dead annuals, just pull or even till in and replant. Now you can normally make a few more bucks mulching after you have planted, and dont forget to charge for the 10-10-10. This is how I do it, I have planted over 200 flats of pansies this fall. and planting more this Saturday. hope I helped.
    Good luck and Happy Thanksgiving

we are similar in rates. we get $30.00/ flat for a switch out.
for plants we get $25.00-35.00/ 3 gallon plant installed ( depending on the type and the material costs.

our soils are almost pure sand here, so it only takes about 1.5-2 min to set a 3 gallon.
