For those who have made a lift gate assist...

    is there three of em? Looks like two are smaller....whats the scoop there?

    I like that setup and I am sure it works very well those little struts can lift some serious weight

    I originally had 2 for the 4ft gate, which worked great. I later extended the gate to 5 ft. With the extra weight I needed to add an extra one. On another trailer I installed just 2 bigger ones on a 5ft gate. It works great. I can lift the gate with one finger and they are out of the way.

    When you go to buy them...what model vehicle do you get them for? Or do you just get the size you think is needed?

    Thats awesome. How much for each cylinder and is it a problem with them breaking at all? Is it easy to install them after you get it welded up? Very cool.
