I just replaced the starter in my Ford F250 for the second time. It's a 1991, 460 engine, with 43,000 miles on it. It can't believe that it has gone through two starter motors in 43,000 miles. I am the original owner and don't drive it much because of the poor gas mileage. Anyone else have this starter problem on a 460?

Where did you get the replacement starter? Alot of times the "rebuilt" starters are junk.

I had the original rebuilt the first time. The second time, I bought an Autolite at Checker. Needed one fast to get back to work and Checker was the only place open.
