If you towing mileage is not the best. No matter where you go they all going to be identical.:weightlifter:

I have a 2006 F250 with a 6.0. Stock, no tune. I bought it Feb. 2012 and used it all season as I increased my business and extended my range. At the end of the season my bookkeeper ran a report using Quickbooks. Here are the results: 2011 season with an F150 5.0 liter was 4000.00 in fuel. 2012 using the F250, more customers, longer driving range.....2500.00 in fuel. F250 Diesel wins. Although the diesel was more per gallon at the pump, it didn't amount to a hill of beans.

The only way I ever got above 10 in my 250s were empty highway. Towing/plowing I get 7-8.5 consistently. This is the wrong industry to worry about fuel milage

You know they come with a lot of different engine sizes in this model depending on the years?

To the OP, as you can tell from the 2 above posts, F250's come in Diesel or Gas. Get the diesel; here are some reasons.
    1. Much better fuel mileage.
    2. Saves money every month
    3. Sounds like a cool man truck.
    4. Has a turbo charger
    5. Turbo charger gives you a whole lot of man truck power
    6. Power out the wazoo
    7. You get to say words like "Torque"
    8. Can modify it out the wazoo
    9. Can you tell I'm having fun yet...?

Yes. Is a Chevy 2500HD bad on gas pulling a 16ft open trailer? Yes. Is a Dodge 2500 bad on... Well you get the point.
