Could anyone tell me what the advantages or disadvantages are for a front cut vs. a mid cut mower? I am in the process of buying a Prowler front cut, but have always owned mid cuts. Is there anything I should be concerned about? Thanks

    Good Afternoon!

Traditionally a Mid-Cut will climb better, is more compact for mowing in tighter spaces, holds side hills better because of the wider stance, and will go faster.....However, Front-Cuts allow for better trimming capabilities under trees, shrubs, and fences, and are easier to service because of the flip up deck.

What it really comes down to is operator prefernces!

Front cuts dont have the heavy front caster wheels mushing the grass down so they do leave a better cut and with the flip up deck makes it easier to maintain the blades and clean the deck.
