What are your experiences with these? My yard has a thick layer of straw that I'd like to remove. Big yard, about three acres, I'd hate to hand rake it.

I have a front mounted de-thatcher for my ztr, it works well but like anything it has it's limits. There's no way I am hand raking 3 acres, that is a job for equipment bigger than a ztr w/ a de-thatcher but if thats all I had I would sure use it.

Unfortunately, a Billygoat won't touch straw that is matted and wound into the turf. The JRCO rake would be THEE way to go for something like this.

The JRCO cost is $ 450.00 here in the northeast.
