There was a thread a few days ago where someone was inquiring about the fuel consumption of the 31 Kawasaki. Rather than resurrect it, I just thought I'd start a new one. Checked my fuel consumption last week, and it turned out to be 1.33 gph, which, surprisingly enough, is almost exactly what my previous mowers with the 25 and 27 horse engines used. I realize they are the same engine, but one would think more horsepower would equal more fuel consumption.

It is also just about what my first mower, a 50 inch with a 23 Kawasaki used. I've seen some figures on here of usage up to 2 gph with some engines, which is quite a lot of difference. Mine have all been on Gravely's, so I suppose it could have something to do with pulley ratios, etc.

Ran a new 29 Monday 2.1 hrs and 4.6 gal. And it was not in heavy grass most of the time. But it was a new machine. But the guys running them say they suck the gas around here.
