Fuel contingency

    Thank you all for your replies. Based on all of the good points made I just accounted for a possible fuel spike and added it in with the quote. I dropped off the proposal today.

    Fuel cost are a real problem for solo operations. Yeah the big guy with five guys on the super lawn truck with a ton of tools it is a drop in the bucket. For me a solo guy it is huge. With all tools paid for it is my largest expense monthly. So if it shoots up 25% it is a problem. I have never put a charge directly for gas prices and the one time I did try on my residentals I was dropped by many customers. I have found if you do go up on your prices regularly it will be a non issue. Nothing crazy just a few percent more and customers don't mind when you say inflation instead of gas.
