Just wondering if anyone has a 6 liter power stroke F350 Diesel and knows what they are getting for miliage. I seem to get around 300 miles per 40 gallon tank. Any suggestions for getting better miliage?

I have the truck in tow/haul all the time as I am always towing a trailer. Does this make a dramitic difference? I also have only 4500 miles on the truck. Is there some sort of break in period?

What is it........10k break in on a diesel? I know some people were still getting better mileage up to 20k.

20K on a diesel for break-in. But the more miles the more they loosen up. As for mileage, the best you'll ever get is highway miles, that's gotta be what the previous poster was doing to get 24 mpg. Towing, you're going to get around 16.
