This maybe kinda off topic ....but it got me thinking

Have a customer whom pays annual each year .... has a summer or winter home what one may call it ... located in my area

He works fore Uncle Sam but as a Private contractor ....last year his check comes from a bank in Columbia ....this year it's drawn on a bank in Australia

So got me think .... how far has that check traveled ...let alone how long it's gonna clear ....not a big deal ... he pays full year last 3 years

But that check came from the side of the globe ...kinda cool

    OK .... I'm bored

We had a customer form Michigan that owned a summer home here on Ontario. They paid us in US funds until we told them. The difference was about 24% back then. I wonder what else they paid in US funds.

We don't have any that come from overseas, but because we do alot of major corporation's properties in Research Triangle Park, NC we do get checks from all over the US, like LA, NY, Chicago, Atlanta, etc. and the sad thing is most of those accts pay faster than the ones that are coming from the same city we are in....

I'm in the same boat as you I have two here in NC side by side same owner and it also get billed to CA. The check clears every time. She actually pays better than some of the local customer's.
