I have a 26 hp,efi kohler on a Walker in for service. The dealer called me and said
they had to replace the gas line in the tank (holes in it). Has this happened to anyone
else, since this unit is only 2 years old. Best part the repair bill is 235.00.
I just guess they replaced the fuel filter, spark plugs, and air filter as that is common
practice in my area. Any ideas why?

I had a 2002 quit working. I thought it was the fuel pump. I had run it out of gas and then it wouldn't run. I just happened to notice the pickup tube lying in the tank. I purchased a $6 piece of fuel hose from the local hardware and replaced. It was about a 1/2 hour repair after diagnosis. $230 sounds high unless you had a lot done. 1 shop hr total would be reasonable.
