So I just bought my first set of Oregon Gator Blades. Explain to me all the benefits as to why you all buy and use them. I'll be using them without a mulch kit for now. And alone or with some other blades.

    Thank you.

they are usually best for during spring and fall clean ups.

Just wait until the fall, you will be floored by the results of them

I use them year round. They work great on all my mowers except my 32" Exmark. Don't know why, but I could never get an clean cut with them. Luckily xmark has an OEM mulching blade that works great. I like them because they're sturdy and they chop the grass up fairly well for side discharge. Oh, and tideman has it right. They will chew up some leaves!

I only use them for leaf clean-up.

I have a set for my 60 Lazer and TThp. Don't cut as smooth as I like on regular mowing. Leaf clean up.....they are very good. I bag alot of leaves in the fall and the gators really chop up the leaves and pack them in the bags really well.

I bag the bulk and the mulch (gator) the shake. Gives a clean look.

Is there any where to buy them at discount? I just paid $48.00 for a set of three at my dealer.
