I have a Z27LC/60. The manual says to use Amoco Permagear EP 220 or Texaco Meropa EP220, I am having trouble locating this oil at the local auto parts store. I would like more information about this oil so I can cross reference to another brand. Thanks. The machine is great.

I have found that NAPA stores do carry it.
We spec the above oils, this is what is to be used in the unit.
You can buy it from your dealer also.

"ISO 220" is a "SAE 90" or a "AGMA 5". it is the viscosity of the gear oil.
If you cross this to a SAE90, just be sure its a EP (extreme pressure) gear lube. most automotive gear specifications are for multi weights. such as 80-90 or 80-140. and not all gear oils have the EP additive.

I would not ry to save money and get the right oil. Go to the dealer. The wrong oil cuases a problem. Had a custoemr do just what youu guys are talking about. He change his own moil and didnt seem to take very long that it was foaming out the vent.

As they say - Save nickel spend a dime you will go home broke every time!!
Buy the right oil and make sure you puut in just the right amount!!!!!!!!
