I have a couple of commercial accounts that I got from friends but was wondering how to go about picking up more. If a business is still under construction how do I try to get the contract? Do I wait until it is built and the sod is laid and shrubs are planted before I try? Who would I need to talk to?

As soon as you are aware of the plans for the new business...or the sooner you can contact the owner(s) the better your chances for landing the contract.

Put yourself in the position of the owners....they want this whole process to be as painless as possible, so the sooner they have all their plans together the less stress they have.

Often times, if the building is already going up...you're probably already too late. Not always though.
