How do you guys get rid of English IVY?
What kind of coverage, and how soon do you need it gone?
Large areas around a 2500 sqft house. Its a total renovation job. I am just worried I won't get all the roots. I know I can do round up but It will just come back in a few months.......
Round up pro at the heaviest app rate three times, three weeks apart. Then, mechanical removal. That should rid the place of it, but English Ivy once established, will have viable roots in adjacent properties, so yeah, it will come back, but often not for a year. I will follow up my apps with Sahara, as it is an area behind a garage..... nothing, I mean nothing will grow aftrer a Sahara app for at least a year, even Ivy.
Spray it with round up as Whitey said. When it turns brown use your line trimmer to remove it to the soil line. If any of it starts to grow back just repeat the process.
