I heard today that there will be a discussion this evening with two scientists who have opposing views on global warming. If interested, the program can be heard at 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm CST on WGN 720 AM radio. You can also hear the station on the web. Go to their site and click listen at upper left corner.

what would those guys know...... its funny, if we have a sick or dying relitaive, we look to science to save them,.... but when its not conveinient... we choose to look at scientist as inaccurate....

seems their information is pretty conclusive..... ill be sure to try and catch the broadcast...

The problem with your logic is that many very educated and qualified people will tell you that this stuff is not science. When your relative gets sick, there are not thousands of qualified scientists arguing that they are not ill, or that the recommended treatment will not work.
The medical sciences make their money treating illnesses, that is why they demonize those who develop methods to prevent illness (look at the treatment of the vitamin industry or Chiropractors by the AMA). The Global Warming crowd gets their money and power by playing upon the desire of people like us to be responsible by presenting only the data that can be used to support their cause and completely ignoring the evidence that would refute it. It may be widely accepted by the media that GW is a fact, but the scientific community is by no means as convinced. Follow the money!

If you really want to know the truth, listen to the webcast and at least make an informed decision.

Yes. IMO the global warming debate is more hollywood hype and those with an agenda instead of true scientific study. The climate has been in a constant change since long before the industrial revolution.

I have to agree with you here. If it weren't for global warming we would still be in the ice age after all(in which case humans could not exist in order to cause GW). Unfortunately, the socialists have hijacked the environmental movement and have used it to manipulate the population. They have lied and been caught so many times that anyone with any remembrance of history and cognitive ability is forced to dismiss their claims. WHere the problem comes in is that there are genuine environmental concerns, but with the crying of wolf that has gone on, most intelligent people will likely ignore a real call to action. It's horrible the disservice they have done to the world.

Agreed, and even if it was warming up very little, it would improve life conditions on earth. we are living 10 degrees less than people living 1000 years ago.
