On my bobcat sometimes I don't let the glow plugs cycle. I turn the key on the glow plug light comes on then right away I start it I don't wait for the light to go out. Is this bad. Or doesn't it matter? It starts right up no problem at all. Don't what to use the glow plugs if I don't have to. Wear them out faster

I have seen people do this before on tractors and so on. If the light comes on regardless if you want to us it or not than why not just wait for it to go out? Personally I dont think your going to hurt anything other than loose some time if you dont start it immediatley. I would not be too over concerned if it happens every now and then. I guess I would just not make a habit of it.

The light should go off a little quicker if the machine is warm. At least that is how most machines are. Im thinking that is how my Deere is but cannot say for sure.
