    Hope you weren't bankin on pushin a lot of snow this season... haha
    We'll be lucky if we have snow by new-years....

    Not really looking to add power to the trucks. We went a little crazy with the GMC back in the day, and swore we wouldn't do it again. It starts with a little power, then you get the tranny done, turbo, different tunes, etc. It's fun, but is just too costly!


    You're not kidding about the snow. I guess we were lucky the last many winters to have decent snows. I can't take much more of this!

    You have two sets of tires for the Kubota? Turf and Ag?

    Yeah, we purchased it with the industrial tires (R4) and later purchased a set of wheels with turfs. The industrials don't do terrible damage to turf, but the turf tires are far superior. We normally run the turfs, but switch over to the industrials for winter or when we are going to be in mud.

    If we could go back, we would have ordered with turf tires and run them year-round. But it is nice to have the industrials on some occasions.

    How you like that walk behind? I had one just like it, 20 years old.

    Mine died 2 years back and I got the newer JD model now, wish I'd spent the money and kept the one you got there.

    The WB does everything we need it to. We only use it on a handful of accounts these days (hills where the stander can't go). The cut is pretty good. Hopefully it'll last another 9 years for us.

    EDIT: I see you meant the 21", not the 36". We got rid of that jx75 a few years ago. It was a decent mower, but the cut quality was not up to par, especially when mulching. We run the overpriced commercial toro units now.

    How are the trucks running GLS? I'm curious about the Powerjoke 6.4 and the Cummins. How's the snow season for you guys?

    Trucks have been running good, but they haven't been seeing a whole lot of use.

    Duramax had to go back to the shop for a minor repair. The flex plate was cracked which may have been a result of improper torque convertor installation, so we only had to pay for parts. All is good for now.

    No problems recently out of the cummins or powerstroke. We did take some parts off of the cummins:nono:, she runs so much better now.

    The dodge definately has the better powertrain IMO, both motor and tranny. Not that we've really have trouble with the powerstroke.


    Snow season could be better. We have only made ONE full run (2"+), but have had a handfull of 1" and salt runs. So I guess it could be worse. I know it hasn't been good anywhere.


    We were going to purchase wide tracks for the miniskid and a light materials bucket for the tractor (big mulch job this spring), but not sure the way this winter is going.

    Glad to hear from you!

    "We did take some parts off of the cummins." So you did the EGR delete? Thats good that you haven't had too many setbacks, sucks about the GM though. What bucket do you have on the Kubota now, I thought it was a light material bucket?
