Do you have to pay for dumping of the leaves?

No, fortunately we have a place to dump.

Yeah no kidding! I'd be doing that too, GLS do the piles where you dump get burned every so often or used for something else?

Yeah, if we had to pay per volume I'd definitely pack in as much as possible. We do pay to dump on occasion (when it's too wet to get to our dumpsite), but it is per ton not cubic yard.

We don't burn the leaves, they just sit and compost. The piles reduce drastically in size over time. Past attempts at burning were unsuccessful, just not enough airspace. They just smolder. We may harvest some compost out of it someday.

Here is another shot of our dumpsite. We stack it up with the tractor, it settles throughout the year, and we do it again the next fall.

Cool! How has the Kubota been working out for you lately?

The kubota has been great. We haven't gotten much use out of it lately due to severe lack of snow (9" officially, only one storm over 2"), but it's been out a few times. Zero issues with the machine. It does exactly what we wanted it to, i'm a satisfied customer.

Here's a shot of it in snow mode. We plow downtown sidewalks with it, and stack snow in parking lots (not this year though).

Awesome! I'm glad you're happy with it, I hope we all get a little more snow too!

    Not too much.

Spring came EARLY this year! We had a stretch of 80 degree plus days that really greened the grass up. We started mowing about a month ahead of normal.

Made one new purchase. Bought a Toro 48" hydro floating deck walk behind to replace the old 36" deere. We wanted a bigger deck for hills and wanted to upgrade to a hydro. It's been working out really well. We were going to keep the deere as a backup, but I think we are going to try to sell instead.

Been very busy with various other projects too. We are in a wet spell right now (rained like the last 4 days with rain chances daily for the foreseeable future) so we are way behind on mowing.

Getting caught up on paperwork right now. Better get back to it (i HATE paperwork!)

I'll try to get some spring pictures up when I get a chance
