Has anyone gone GREEN? I am talking about using run off water, alternate energy etc incorporated into their landscaping. There are a few new business's (non green industry)in my area that have used it in there decor and received awards for there "GREEN" use. I have not heard(that much) of it being used for residential. Can anyone link me to more background, or give in site on their finds or use. Any help would be great.

research LEED programs in your state...they break down piece by piece how to use rainwater for: rain gardens, irrigation through a cistern system, or even in multi dwellings like APTS. you can do roof-top gardens, which insulate, and cut down on run-off.
