going into week 3 after laying St Aug sod- can i mow now?

    here is a current picture, im going into week 3 of the St Augustine sod i laid- now wish id done the whole yard. Can I mow it now or wait another week?

    Unless you are going to use a push mower.
    Go and and start tugging on it with your hand to see if it has rooted. If it has not them when you mow it will churn the sod up.

    No, no, no...Stay off it...it is not rooted. No lawn mowers. If you have to do something...mow it with a weed eater and high. That grass is nourishing the roots that need everything that you can do for them. The sod underwent stress from being cut. Damn the neighbors or HOA. The grass will love you for leaving it alone. Lawn mowers are the worst things for new sod and trees. I put out two tractor trailers of centipede a couple of years ago in late fall. Roped it off and did not have it mowed until spring. It's beautiful today. Centipede hates everything even itself. You have pretty grass.
