Does anybody down here in the south do plugs and if so what is the going rate for the plugs with installation. I got a price for $3.50 per tray with 18 plugs per tray, seemed a little high. Any info would help.

I charge $15 per tray with a 5 tray minimum. That way you're not showing up just to install a few plugs. Some charge by the square foot to plug. It's easier to just charge by the tray and set a minimum number of trays that you'll do. If i have a really good paying account that only needs a few plugs ( 1 or 2 trays ) I'll do it after I mow and charge an extra $15 to $25 for a few minutes work.

Thanks for the info. I mainly just install sod for customers but one elderly lady just insist on plugs. I have only done a few trays here and there for customers but she wants the whole backyard and half the front done. (Anything to make them happy!!)
