I have basic liability Insurance but now that I have an employee I need to get Workman's comp Insurance. Any balkpark estimates for what I will need to pay here in NJ?

Your insurance company should be able to tell you. Mine told me. They were only 1 dollar off. lol. Here in WI it was $901, just in case you were wondering. Probably doesn't matter, but I think that it's pretty much the same everywhere.

Depends what you pay him. Plan on paying somewhere around $10/thousand paid.

Hmm, I have to pay $1100. Then for every $100 i pay an employee I have to pay 12 to workers comp.

NJ - keep in mind WC policies are auditable and you will want to give them accurate payrolls when you take out the policy to avoid overpaying or paying too little up front.

I think in NJ we are paying about $9 for every $100 paid
