Good deal or no??

    I saw this on CL and was wondering if you guys think this is a good deal or not? I'm not sure on the hours I emailed to find out but do you guys think this is a good deal or not? Thanks in advance!

    Just found out it has 3000 hours on it but the engine has been rebuilt. Now it really sounds like it is too expensive for that many hours. What does everyone think though?

    Man... looks like blank space to me... Better not pay too much for that. You might get hosed.

    It's a durable unit, but I think $1600 might be a bit steep for 3,000 hours... That mower is a lot more than just a motor...

    Way high for the hrs. There are a lot of moving/working parts on that mower, and at 3,000hrs all of them are going to be wearing down. That Kohler is nearing the end of its life. That is $700+ to replace. The tranny is likely worn from pulling a sulky, that's another $200, in addition, you have belts, spindles and brakes all showing wear. By the time you replaced everything you'll be replacing in the next 1,000 hrs, you could have bought a new one, and gone out to a nice dinner or two with a pretty lady with what you'll be into that mower.
