Im lookin at buying a 2001 Chevy 3500 Dump 4x4 with older meyer plow. It has 60k on it and hasnt been used much in the last year. He was askin 13500 we settled on 12500. He said he installed the plow last year and used it a couple of times. truck was dirty but seemed to be in over-all good condition. The dump was in good condition with surface rust in usual spots. Does the price sound right or too high?

Seems a little high to me. That's a 10 year old vehicle. Whatever you do make sure you find some comparables at some dealers and classifieds.

Personally I think it sounds like a fair deal on both sides. Ya its 9 yrs old but only 60k, 4x4, + dump and plow. Check some compairables on the internet and dealers like zz said but I think you'll see its fair at 12500.

Not to be anal, but most model years are actually made in the previous year. So, it really is a 10 year old vehicle. Maybe use that as another bargaining chip. Good luck.

I just spent about a month looking for a truck. 1999 Ford 250 pickup 5.4 with a plow were listing for 12,500 at dealers. Being a 1 ton dump, I would say the price is good.

Its a decent deal in my opinion, as long as the fluids are clean, id say go for it.
