I have a Sears 5HP snow thrower, and I need help on governor adjustment. When the throttle is set at high speed, the RPMs' are very very high to the point where the engine needs to eb shut down. The engine is a 5HP Tecumseh
on a snow thrower. Are there any websites where I can log onto to get this information? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

with motor off ste throttle control to wide open loosen screw on gov. lever turn gov. shaft and lever to hold carb. throttle shaft to wide open tighten screw start motor and adj. rpm to 3600 usually there is a screw on the carb throttle bracket that adj. gov. spring tension. if you can not adj. the gov. spool inside the crank case could be bad. make sure that the linkage is not binding before you start motor
