Anybody replaced the governor shaft seal on the Kawasaki 17hp twin.Mine is leaking a little, just enough to make a mess up front. It does not look like you have to split the case to replace it.Any tips ? :)

I havn't had to replace one either and the service manual doesn't give any info. on doing so. So I would guess you use a small screw driver or pick tool to pop the old one out and I would use a 1/4" drive deep socket the size of the seal to tap the new one in place. But be careful not to let the shaft slide into the crankcase or you will be tearing it down. And after the seal is in place and the gov. arm reinstalled you will have to readjust it.
