My grandstand (fs541) runs like ****. Took to dealer... yadda fuel treatment and get it back. It sounds like it misfires, then pop pop pop.. engage blades it runs fine. the second u disengage it pops and backfires. If you throttle down it goes away.

Thoughts on this ? Im told its ethanol crap... will do it again if i replace the carb which is not warranty.

Well I run ethanol fuel through all my stuff and it doesn't do that. Sounds like dirt in the carb to me or over rev?

Does it stay running if you "yank" #2 instead of 1?

Runs from the intake (usually just below the air filter and before the throttle body) to the valve cover, it is rubber, not all engines have it, on a V engine it runs to one or the other valve cover.
