Grass growing under the fence into beds

    I have a client that has some beds lining the fenceline. The neighbors St. Augustine is growing into the beds from underneath the wood privacy fence. I thought to just pust some sheet metal along the fence 6" to 12" deep to block it, but I wanted your opinions on solutions as well.

    i just use round up , I have one that the st aug comes through the fence about 1/2 way up must be some tall grass on the other side

    I also usually use roundup, edging will work on St. Augustine though. It only has to be about 3" deep, St. Augustine doesnt go very deep. Bermuda on the other hand, is sent from the devil.
