My normal dealer who is very very good dropped exmark after years of selling due to some sort of problem between them. He now carries grasshopper and I was wondering how the mowers hold up and how is the cut quality compared to exmark. Also wondering how good there bagging systems are? Thanks in advance.

Grasshopper makes great machines that often last 20 years or more. They are way better designed than Exmarks in my opinion. I ran a fleet of Grasshopper mowers for years, and, liked them so well I became a dealer and opened a store to sell them.
Grasshopper has great engineering, and are very high quality machines. Lots of common parts between models, smooth ride without fancy suspension gimmicks. They have well designed decks that cut great, and, have probably the best grass collection systems of any maker, other than Walker.
The Grasshopper factory is very high tech and automated, with great quality control. It looks like a miniature version of a Caterpillar or John Deere equipment factory.
you will not be disappointed with a Grasshopper mower.
