My new-new baby. Dealer replaced the "new" one he originally sent me that had rust and wear.

It has the mulch kit installed, and I was impressed when I saw the under-deck photo, as I had mowed 1 acre of wet lawn yesterday, and the deck looked CLEAN.

How is the power with the 17hp Kawasaki and mulching?

    How is the cut quality?

Mower worked fine this past season, though I only got about 8 cuts in with it before the season ended. No striping pics yet, though the kit made a noticeable difference.

The power seemed fine to me, though I have no real basis for comparison. It was able to go full speed and mulch without an issue. What was interesting was that when I would disengage the blades, a big pile of grass clippings would drop onto the ground. There must be a hell of a lot of life to keep all that stuff under the deck like that. Also, there was almost no grass clumping on the deck, even though the grass was damp and I hadn't coated the deck with anything.

Cut quality seemed good. At least equal to what my landscaper was doing with his walk-behind toros, and light-years beyond the neighbor's tractors and residential ZTRs. VERY few stringers and good equal cut length.

I love the thing. It's build quality is absolutely superb. I wish I had looked at the small gavelys sooner. It destroyed anything else I looked at in the price range, including Dixons and Hustlers.
